Academic information
Study at UPF School of Engineering

We have created a list of the subjects we offer to incoming exchange students. You will find information about the language, term and credits of each subject, which will help you prepare and plan your stay.

The large majority of our courses are taught in English. We strongly recommend that incoming students have a B2 level of English. Some subjects are taught in Catalan or Spanish; the list specifies the language of each one.

Academic Calendar, Subjects offered, Syllabus and Schedules

Internships, Degree Final Projects and Master's subjects are not offered to incoming students.

Class groups

Each subject has theory, practice and seminar groups. The number of practice and seminar groups can vary depending on the subject. You can find the numbering used for the groups below.

  • Theory: T1
  • Practice group: P101 / P102
  • Seminar group: S101 / S102 / S103 / S104 / S105

If you want to know which practice and seminar group you belong to, you need to check the section "Espai Aula" on the Campus Global. There you will find the list of subjects and groups you're enrolled in.

The School of Engineering will do their best to give you a place in the courses you are interested in, but we cannot guarantee it. We also reserve the right to cancel a course if there's not enough demand.

There is one ordinary examination call and one resit call per academic year. Examination dates and deadlines for qualifications claims are also published on Aula Global around the fifth week of classes.

  • Ordinary call: at the end of the term in which the subject has been taught.
  • Resit call: in July, for all the subjects (1st, 2nd and 3rd term). You will find this information in the academic calendar.

Resit exams are only allowed if you have participated in the course during the term and failed the ordinary call.

All exams must be taken at UPF; remote exams are not possible.

Your Transcript of Records will be issued by the Mobility Office (OMA) at the end of your stay, once all final grades have been recorded.
